Church Friend
I am writing this letter on behalf of all the people affected by CHD. I really learned about all the children suffering from heart disease through a friend at our church whose son was diagnosed with childhood cancer. He had a carepage and all of us at the church faithfully checked on him and his family on this page. It was here that we were asked to pray for other children, many of whom had heart problems. I started to follow several children, praying for them and their families, and learning about their hearts that were never developed properly and would need many surgeries and sometimes ultimately a transplant. One of my daughters has a heart murmur and a friend’s son required heart surgery at the age of 18 months, but I never knew how many children suffer from serious heart defects and what is involved to save them. I ask for your help to make the public more aware of these children and thus provide funding and education to find the medical care that they require and deserve. This is a tragedy as serious as the starving children in the world or the many children who suffer from cancer. Please help them.
